Provo Missionary Training Center’s Inaugural Packing Event

Hunger Fight was especially fortunate to get the opportunity to work with the amazing individuals at the Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah back in November of 2021. These selfless students and staff members sacrificed their Thanksgiving to give back to their community. Over 800 missionary students joined in packing 385,020 meals for the Utah Food Bank. Their hardwork and dedication left us speechless as they packed meals with smiles on their faces. Our team was truly blessed to have partnered with the Missionary Training Center and we look forward to working with them again in the future.

9th Anniversary – Hunger Fight

In November 2012, Hunger Fight was founded with the mission of eradicating hunger here in our community. Since its inception, Hunger Fight has provided over 12 MILLION MEALS and over 140,000 books to those in need. Our meals have touched lives all across the country, from Florida to Utah, Texas to Puerto Rico, and even Haiti. We fight to provide meals to children, families, and individuals who aren’t sure where their next meal will come from and we strive to get our meals wherever they are needed, no matter how far.

Over the years, Hunger Fight expanded to include a literacy program to offer books to preschoolers in book deserts, to offer them the best chance at a successful future. Hunger Fight would be nothing without the support of our community partners who share the same passion for others as we do. We are proud of what we have accomplished so far and are excited about what is yet to come. Here’s to many more years of providing food for their bellies and books for their brains!

Inaugural Tallahassee Community Outreach Event

Hunger Fight has always made it a priority to grow into additional areas to increase the number of families we are able to help with our meals and books. We recently expanded into the Tallahassee area where our team member, Ritchie Pickron, has been working tirelessly to coordinate getting our meals and books to those who need them most. On October 30th, 2021; we held our Inaugural Tallahassee Community Outreach packing event. This event surpassed being just successful and we couldn’t be more grateful. We would like to thank each and every person who participated and supported this event. Because of you, we were able to assemble and package over 86,000 meals that will be distributed to the children, families, and individuals who face hunger or food insecurity in the Tallahassee area. This would not have been possible without the generosity of our community partners and volunteers who filled spots for the community partners that couldn’t make it to the event. Please join us in sending a huge THANK YOU to all who made this event possible.

Feed the Need Putnam

Hunger Fight hosted the 4th annual Feed the Need Putnam. As always, this event was a great success. Over 180 volunteers joined in to pack 32,256 meals for those facing hunger and food insecurity in Putnam County. We are always in awe of the hard work and dedication of the Putnam County community members and their willingness to help those in need.

11 MILLION MEALS

When Hunger Fight set out on its mission to eradicate hunger and illiteracy almost nine years ago, it was with a vision of helping as many people in our community as possible. Today, Hunger Fight announces that 11 MILLION meals have been packed and distributed to those in need, wherever they may be. Our meals go out to Title One students in local elementary schools, food pantries, churches, youth organizations, backpack feeding programs, disaster relief efforts all over the world, and of course anyone who faces food insecurity or hunger in our communities. These 11 MILLION meals would not have been possible without our community partners, volunteers, donors, and all the other individuals who share and support our mission. 11 MILLION meals is a huge milestone and the team here at Hunger Fight is incredibly grateful and proud of the progress we have made and the progress we will make in the years to come.

Packing for Haiti Relief

Disaster Relief has always been an important aspect of Hunger Fight’s mission. That’s why we sprung into action as soon as we learned the impact of the 7.2 magnitude earthquake that devastated Haiti on August 14th. Together with our amazing friends from River City Church, we held a meal packing event to assemble and package meals to be sent to Haiti. These 28,224 meals will be distributed to those in need in Haiti with the help of the Convoy of Hope organization. This event was made possible by the generous donations of all of the individuals who participated in our Haiti relief fundraiser and the over 100 volunteers who showed up to pack meals.
