During the annual Evening of Service, they packaged an astounding 335,496 meals for those in need in the community. Their dedication and hard work truly made a difference. These meals, funded by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and assembled in partnership with Hunger Fight, will be distributed to local agencies to support community members in need. Together, we are making a significant impact!

That’s right, can you believe it is Hunger Fight’s tenth anniversary today?!

Ten years ago today, passion turned into an idea that turned into a dream which turned into reality. Today, the Hunger Fight mission is still going strong. As long as there is a need, our team will be on the front lines making sure that our communities are not overlooked. Whether it’s providing meals to TItle-One students or books to preschoolers in book deserts, Hunger Fight continues to battle in the war against hunger, food insecurity, and illiteracy.

Hunger Fight would like to thank Southeastern Freight Lines for the amazing books they donated to our Feed the Need to Read program. The folks at Southeastern Freight Lines facilitated a book drive just to be able to give back. These books will help us combat illiteracy in our community. We are able to do what we do because of the generous support from businesses like Southeastern Freight Lines.

Someone from CBRE contacted us at Hunger Fight to ask how they could help. Not only did they rally volunteers from their office to come to our warehouse to help us out on not one, but two different days, the volunteers showed up with a box of books for our literacy program. CBRE team, way to be proactive and take action to give back to those less fortunate in your community!

The 3rd Annual St. John’s Cathedral Packing Event was certainly surprising. Normally, our packing events last about two hours to reach the meal goal. The amazing individuals at St. John’s Cathedral rallied enough support and volunteers to surpass their expected volunteer count and they surpassed their goal in just over an hour. The Hunger Fight team was blown away by the hard work displayed at this event. 12500 meals and 500 books were distributed to those in need in their community because of this fantastic congregation!

The team from Taylor Day Law Firm joined us at the Hunger Fight warehouse where they participated in their Inaugural Packing Event. In just two hours, they packed a total of 9,091 meals and facilitated 400 books that were distributed to those in need here in our community. Thank you Taylor Day Law, for the generosity and passion you put into making a difference in our community. You are a testament to what can be accomplished when action is taken.
